Accessing engineering servers from off-campus

In order to increase security, the computer science department has decided to prohibit the use of FTP and TELNET for accessing departmental servers.

The TELNET protocol will be replaced by SSH. The free SSH software, putty, is provided here as are instructions for connecting to home.cs.siue.edu.

If you receive a login dialogue window, preface your e-id with CAMPUS\ (e.g. CAMPUS\jsmith).
